My labyrinth at Hallett, the Olde School Gallery/C (1)

This labyrinth, based on the Chartres layout is on a continual process of becoming... designed to improve the energy of our home, and provide an opportunity for mindful walking, it is etched into the earth with a symbol of the entry to the Earth Mother at its centre. Each year the rowels are cleaned out and this is used to gradually add shape through mounding on the centre and exterior of the labyrinth. Plants are chosen to follow the year through flowering times, with emphasis on the earth, air, fire and water elements. Stones are positioned to reflect seasonal rising and setting of Moon and Sun.
